The original lighthouse was burnt down by the British in 1776. The current 89 ft high stone building was built in 1783. About 2 miles away is Graves Light. Built in 1905 of granite, it stands 113 ft high and is perches on a treacherous rock ledge.

About Catherine Gagne

Catherine Gagne

There is no better way to release stress than to travel around with a camera. Seeing all the beauty that my native New England has to offer is the best medicine in the world. Walking down a trail and hearing a waterfall before you see it is music to my ears, walking in a garden is nature's art for my eyes, hearing the waves bounce off rocks by lighthouses soothes the soul, walking across a covered bridge over one hundred years old brings joy to my heart. I hope everyone takes the time to see and enjoy the beauty this world freely gives us all. Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my pictures.
